Meet Kelly (she/her)

Kelly Brown, a meticulous, accurate, and results driven research analyst, is the founder and chief executive officer of Secure Consulting and a senior research analyst for the International Data Corporation (IDC). 

Secure Consulting is a market research and business analytics company that provides data driven solutions to a company’s pain points. They provide solutions by surveying, collecting, and analyzing data to deliver reliable recommendations to clients. Furthermore, they assist with segmentation, customer retention and acquisition, pricing strategies and more. 

As a Senior Research Analyst for IDC Consumer Market Model Kelly is responsible for forecasting important demographic, technological, and consumer internet metrics worldwide and in 51 countries. Ms. Brown’s core research includes how demographic changes impact technology adoption and consumer spending, which online services are growing rapidly, and how eCommerce is continuing to evolve. Additionally, she has expertise in and gives guidance on generational differences associated with tech engagement, technology adoption gaps, consumers as sellers and service providers, and how businesses can address nonbuyer consumers. 

Kelly is skilled in providing strategic solutions, assessing project performance, and delivering data comprehensively, in addition to hands-on experience completing developmental research and leading detailed competitive assessments. Her passion for maternal cannabis began with her first pregnancy and moved into her second. “I could not keep anything down; I was throwing up all day and losing weight at a rapid pace. If it was not for cannabis subsiding the sickness I was experiencing, I do not believe I would have made it to 36 weeks,” said Kelly Brown.

Ms. Brown has her MBA in Business Analytics and Marketing Management from Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University as well as a B.A. in History/Political Science from Old Dominion University.
